There‘s a Women’s Tea at Faith today
And by golly I will attend
Ladies so beautifully dressed for tea
Will be comfortably seated on several chairs
Surrounding round tables with gold table cloths
They’ll be laughing and chatting while waiting to partake
In the annual tea get-together again this year
On the round decorated tables will be
The most beautiful china tea sets I’ll ever see
Teapots, teacups, tea saucers with matching designs
Will add to the beauty the tables display
There will be teabags, cutleries and napkins as well
And platters of sandwiches and pastries too
Ready to be devoured by tea-eager appetites
The teapots brimming with boiling water so hot
Will be poured in teacups clutching flavorsome teabags
Several cups of the hot brew will be sipped
Carefully savoring the delicious flavor
The first cup sipped will be “Ah, I needed that!”
The second and third cups and maybe a fourth
May slowly melt your troubles away
And when the tea is over and its time to depart
Let us give thanks to the ladies who worked so tirelessly hard
Making this year’s Women’s Tea another enjoyable event.
Pray when we return next year this time
We’ll lift our teacups and toast another memorable tea
And never forget how special this is
