[My church recently started a Secret Sister Program. As Coordinator of the Program, I wrote the following poem, which I framed and presented to each of the Secret Sisters:]
Now that you’ve embarked on this special journey
All glory and honor is yours today
You’ve become a dedicated partner
Praying daily for your “Companion Sister”
The primary purpose of this SS Program
Remember there is no price tag
To what you may so thoughtfully give
As meaningful gifts but modestly priced
Letting your “Companion Sister” know
You are always thinking of her wellbeing
One year you’ve chosen for this commitment
And in December when you reveal
You’ll be so delighted to see
The thoughtful and devoted Secret Sister
Who has been kind and generous to you
Do not forget the daily prayers
Should always be your main focus
Making everything else you do
Secondary to this benevolent fellowship
May God continue to touch your life
With special blessings from above
Giving you what is essentially needed
For this gracious and gratifying task
Secret Sister, You Are Truly Blessed !!
